Government Ethics in Florida: Clouds Obscure Sunshine

The Lakeland Ledger has published an editorial that addresses the issue of open meetings or “Sunshine” laws in Florida.  More particularly, the article deals with some of the abuses of these laws.

The Ledger editorial is thought-provoking and worth the read.  Sunshine violations are rampant throughout Florida.  In spite of some of the best laws in the country, without private citizens taking an active role in compliance, those laws are meaningless.
