An article has appeared in the Florida Bar Journal entitled “Walking on Sunshine Laws: How Florida’s Free Press History in the U.S. Supreme Court Undermines Open Government.”

While the article does not provide an exhaustive history of Florida’s open government laws, (it does not claim to), it does provide an excellent overview of the importance of open government, particularly with respect to the role of the media.  The article is definitely worth reading.
