In a recent article the Tampa Bay Times has reported that a woman in Pasco County filed suit because she was over-charged for public records. The article speaks for itself and is definitely worth reading. Radically inflating the fees charged for access to public records is a common ploy used by public agencies to frustrate access. It easily falls into the top five. It’s also illegal and is going to result in increased litigation.
